Carmen Gold Reserve in Fogo de Chao

29 de December de 2016

Carmen Gold Reserve is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from our “Carneros 288” parcel, which lies in the Maipo Valley, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The grapes from these vineyards, planted in 1957, are carefully harvested and hand selected to finally produce a deep, elegant and balanced wine. Gold Reserve shows Carmen’s commitment to Chile’s highest viticulture quality, the fundamental pillar of our philosophy.

Blending perfectly with the steak oriented menu of Fogo de Chao, this wine can be paired with red meats and well-seasoned sauces, showcasing the best of South America.

Winemaker’s Comments on Gold Reserve 2009

Our Gold Reserve is a deep purplish-red colour. The nose is dense and lush, with a clean fruit character driven by cassis, blackcurrant, and cigar box aromas. Cherries, graphite, and black truffles lend another dimension. Our Gold Reserve offers a wonderful combination of clean fruit and complex aromas while delivering elegance and persistence. The palate is smooth and vibrant, with creamy textures lending weight to the firm tannins. The finish is long and persistent. This wine travels slowly, with black fruit and subtle spices dancing on the back palate to accompany its lively elegance. Experience Alto Maipo as you enjoy every sip!
