InnovaClaro 2024: Viña Carmen wins High-Value Award with the Frida Kahlo Project!

The contest brings together the most notable innovation projects from the Claro Group, including the wine company, ME Elecmetal, Grupo DF, Cristalerías Chile, and TICEL.

During the XIV Innovation Meeting organized by the Claro Group in partnership with Santa Rita Estates, the latter won the “High Value” award for Viña Carmen’s Frida Kahlo project, recognizing its outstanding contribution to development and excellence in the winemaking sector. The initiative shared first place with ME Elecmetal.

In 2018, Chile’s first winery alongside with Frida Kahlo Corporation, launched Carmen Gran Reserva Frida Kahlo Carménère, a wine that has become one of the winery’s most successful products in the country. The brand now has a portfolio with over four ranges, including two sparkling wines—Rosé and Brut—that are exported to 10 countries, representing 15% of Viña Carmen’s total sales.

The annual event showcases the most significant innovation initiatives developed by the companies within the Claro Group: Santa Rita Estates, ME Elecmetal, Grupo DF, Cristalerías Chile, and TICEL. The finalist projects were evaluated by a jury consisting of Baltazar Sánchez, president of four of the group’s companies, along with other business experts.
